Date: 2012
Client: Catholic Education Office of WA
Location: Rockingham

In early 2012, Paterson Architects was commissioned by the Catholic Education Office to prepare a masterplan for the future growth of Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School in Rockingham. As part of this process, Paterson Architects undertook the design of a New Multipurpose Hall.

Within very tight budgetary constraints, we addressed all functional requirements and the building was developed through a robust Schematic Design process, involving the preparation of many different options of both design and location for the building.

The final design incorporated a sympathetic material palette that complemented the material and colours on campus. The current location has allowed the School to maximise its use without compromising the masterplan of the School.

Construction was completed by the end of 2016.
